History and Vision

Pamir was established by the Afghan-born Shaukat Zamani and his wife, Shabeena Shah, following the completion of their education at Auckland University. We followed a vision and a dream to create a rug business with a difference. We believe we largely succeeded in our mission, decorating 10,000s of New Zealand homes with our Rugs, Runners and Kilims, from Kerikeri all the way down to Invercargill.
